SCM World and GXS Collaborate on Global B2B Strategy Report
10 July 2010
SCM World and GXS are collaborating on a global B2B strategy report: Maximizing Customer Service with B2B e-commerce
In these challenging times the need for closer collaboration across boundaries in the supply chain becomes ever more vital. A key characteristic of successful supply chains is a high level of visibility achieved through shared information. To enable the smooth flow of information across a supply chain requires the establishment of appropriate e-commerce channels. As supply chains become more global and extended and as major customers demand specific e-commerce solutions the potential for complexity in B2B communications may increase considerably.
The research, commissioned by GXS and produced by SCM World is aimed at improving the understanding of how manufacturing companies can support the increasingly diverse requests that they are receiving from large customers for customised supply chain processes and B2B e-commerce technologies. In particular we are interested to discover how companies can best manage multiple supply chain interfaces in the most cost-effective way. The output of this study will be a report that examines the opportunities for firms to gain competitive advantage through the development of strong customer relationships built around customized e-commerce solutions.
The report will be available to download in September 2010.
