Senior Vice President, Research

Geraint is a procurement specialist and leads our research coverage on sourcing and procurement, supplier management, and supply chain risk. He also regularly contributes to articles in the media in both the US and the UK.

He manages a team producing a variety of content such as: practitioner-led reports, webinars, case studies, live events and data insights for community members.

Prior to joining SCM World in 2012, Geraint was an executive consultant at State of Flux, a procurement and supply chain consultancy, where he specialised in supplier relationship management research, training and process design projects for clients in sectors ranging from mobile telecoms to consumer goods and financial services. Geraint also led the firm’s annual global SRM benchmarking study.

His client work included conducting supplier perception projects for consumer goods, telecommunications and oil & gas companies; designing processes to gauge the health of strategic customer-supplier relationships in the banking sector; and creating learning and development modules to raise awareness and skill levels in the emerging SRM discipline.

Previously, Geraint worked as a journalist and editor, spending more than a decade covering the global procurement community. He was the founding Editor of CPO Agenda, an international business review for procurement leaders launched in the spring of 2005. Before that, he spent five years as Editor-in-Chief of Supply Management, the UK’s biggest circulation procurement magazine, published in association with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).

Geraint holds a degree in Economics and Politics from the University of Warwick. He is based in London.
