Power of the Profession

We believe that the supply chain profession has the power to deliver competitive advantage and shareholder value for business, and have a positive lasting impact on the world we live in.

We exist to advance the profession and know that the best people to do that are the executives who are leading it today. We recognise breakthroughs in supply chain innovation and the development of the people who deliver it.

Annual Power of the Profession Awards

Our awards identify, recognise and enable collective learning from the most impactful and innovative supply chain initiatives every year. Winners demonstrate an ongoing commitment to innovative supply chain management and deliver standout business and talent development projects.

As a community of the world’s most influential supply chain practitioners our awards are judged by the profession. Nominations are shortlisted by open vote from across the community and finalists are judged by a panel of the top supply chain minds from leading companies across the world. Semi-finalists and finalists get valuable feedback on their initiatives as part of the process and winners are showcased at an Oscars-style ceremony at our SCM World Live Americas event in February.

We welcome entries from all organisations – you do not have to be a member of SCM World to enter.

SCM World University 100 & University Partnership Programme

Shaping the future of the profession means nurturing next generation talent now.

The University 100 is the annual survey of the supply chain community which asks practitioners to think about the preparation universities are providing to young people in our field. Feeding the entry- and graduate- level pipeline with the right skills and mix of expertise is an essential part of developing the supply chain leaders of the future. Every year we ask one simple question: which universities or business schools do you identify as markers of supply chain talent? Click here to see where your university ranks.

Our University Partnership Programme enriches academic supply chain programmes with practical real-life examples – and provides hundreds of academics around the world with access to a rich source of predictive research and experiences from Fortune 500 companies. Click here for a full list of our academic partners.
